It's pronounced “Hoy-schlee”, but feel free to call me Jess(ica) H.
As a middle-aged mama with careers in science (PhD Tufts, '00) and writing prior to becoming an LCSW (BU, '20), I bring lived experience and an eclectic style to mental health.
I tend to work with adults and motivated older teens, treating trauma, substance use, dual diagnoses, mood and anxiety disorders (including OCD), life changes and stressors, aging- and/or health related concerns, grief (including pet loss), and phobias.
I am credentialed in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, trauma-focused CBT, and animal-assisted therapy (no animals in-person at this time), and am trained in Gottman theory, iCBT, and Functional Family Therapy. I offer both structured work and general talk therapy that can include mindfulness and person-centered therapy, depending on your needs and preferences.
I am comfortable treating clients with baseline suicidality and/or self-harm, am kink-positive, and welcome those from all walks of life.
